San Diego, CA (September 6, 2008) - The Glue Network, TOMS Shoes, Evocal, Flexfit and Jedidiah collaborate at ASR (Action Sports Retailers) Trade Expo to create a live art installation in an effort to inspire people to "GIVE LOVE BACK!" The campaign was created to benefit FRIENDS OF TOMS (a registered 501c3 non-profit), and helped to raise awareness for those around the world who have a dire need for shoes. For every pair purchased, TOMS will give a pair of shoes to a child in need. One for One.
Trade-show attendees took part in this live art installation by using their footprints to create the mural backdrop. Twelve different artists then transformed the backdrop panels into a creative representation to shed light on the fact that 40% of the world do not have shoes. In an effort to GIVE LOVE BACK, each artist painted a 4' X 8' panel. Each of the completed twelve paintings was then up for silent auction.
Participating Artists: Melissa Leslie, Derek Leitch, Kelli Murray, Johnny Rodriguez, Austin Blasingame, Chris Pastras, Kris Markovich, Ekundayo, Theo Hetherington, Anthony Uranga, Michael Alvarez and Steve Caballero .
Sponsors: Jedidiah, ASR, Swiv Tackle Circus, Given Skateboards, Flexfit, Koerce Media, Montana Cans, and Article.1 .

The 4th Annual Switchfoot Bro-Am surf contest, live art mural and concert entertained some 6,000 supporters at Moonlight Beach in Encinitas, CA on Saturday, June 7, 2008. An annual event near and dear to Switchfoot's heart, the Bro-Am was created to give back to the San Diego community while also benefiting a local children's charity through funds raised at an auction night event, as well as from vendors on the beach day-of, sponsorships, and an after-party at the Belly Up Tavern.
This event was in support of the Oceanside and San Diego chapters of StandUp For Kids who fight teen homelessness. After tallying all the numbers, the event ended up raising upwards of $70,000!
The Glue Network was honored to participate in such a great event and we would love to send a special thank you to Kip and Mia (event organizer's), and the entire Switchfoot family for their invitation to join them in an effort to make a difference!
We would also like to thank our corporate supporters: Flexfit, Montana Paint, Mama Mellace, Koerce Media, CPS Printing, and Parkerkohl Group .
Thanks to Artsprojekt and each of the artists that participated: Andy Howell, Johnny Rodriguez, That-Kid-Peep, Ekundayo, Nick McPherson, and Chandu Reading .

LOS ANGELES, CA. - MAY 14, 2007 - Over $10,000 was raised during The Freedom Project event, presented by thegluenetwork.com and Fuel TV, to help educate people about illegal human trafficking and how to stop it. The Freedom Project was a benefit which supported the International Justice Mission (IJM), a human rights agency that rescues victims of violence, sexual exploitation, and slavery.
Over 700 people attended the benefit on Saturday, April 28, 2007 at 7pm. Hosted by the prestigious Hotel Ménage in Orange County, guests enjoyed: live music by Switchfoot's Jon Foreman, Speech from the hip-hop group Arrested Development, hip-hop musician Braille and DJs Trent Dean and Linney; a live mural painting; a silent art auction featuring pieces from 50 different artists; guest speakers Sharon Cohn from IJM, anti-slavery activist Aaron Cohen and David Batstone from the Not For Sale Campaign; live filming of Fuel TV's The Daily Habit; live screen-printing and clothing art from brands such as Harvey's, Lewsader and Kites, and Tom's Shoes; and text messages shown live on-screen by Mobile Cause.
The live 8' x 24' mural painting illustrated the message of Freedom to support the fight against slavery. Once sold, the mural's proceeds will benefit IJM and other related non-profit organizations. Curated by Jeremy Cove with Munson Industries, the artists included: Chase, Derek Albeck, Devon Icoondio Duvea Reid or Ekundayo, Johnny Rodriguez, Jophen Stien, Joshua Clay, Kelli Murray, Marco Zamora, Ralph Silerio and Tomii Lim.
Multiple non-profit organizations were present at the event to educate guests about human trafficking and help inspire them to make a difference. The organizations included: International Justice Mission (IJM), Not for Sale Campaign, Polaris Project, Indian Princess Project, Rescue and Restore Unity Coalition, Bilateral Safety Corridor (BSCC), Cargo: Innocence Lost, and NightLight Bangkok.
The International Labor Office estimates human trafficking generates $32 billion annually. According to the U.S. Department of Justice an estimated 17,500 people are forced into prostitution, sweat-shops, and domestic servitude in the U.S. every year. University of San Francisco ethics professor and author of Not For Sale, Dr. David Batstone, approximates there are around 200,000 human slaves in America right now. The overwhelming evidence of, proximity to, and devastating effects of human trafficking prompted The Freedom Project.
The following organizations donated to the event in some way or another: Hotel Ménage, Fuel TV, Exhibe Corporation, Blankstyle, Just One, Montana Paint, Fallen Footwear, Lewsader, Surfer Magazine, Vastex Screen-Printing Equipment, Cobian Sandals, Tom's Shoes, Harvey's, The Collectiv, Flexfit, Jedidiah, Astro Sound/Lighting and Signature Linen Rentals .
